” A garden was, in the biblical story, the first home.  Garden is a potent and complex symbol; it embodies pleasure, fertility, sustenance, and renewal.Gardening is a life-embracing act, an act of faith and hope, and expression of commitment to the future.”

Staring into a BLACK MIRROR was an exercise by which Impressionist painters “re-focused” their sense of sight after painting long hours with an intense color palette. They believed that this would help them regain a sense of visual balance allowing them to approach their work anew. Thus I have conceived this blog as a means to facilitate a creative pause among my students and colleagues alike. It is above all about looking anew and sharing any creative insights and every day musings. I will be drawing inspiration from everything and everyone , placing it all in the “box” because according to Twyla Tharp; “before you can think out of the box, you will have to start with a box.”

Welcome to my BOX.
